Blog + Website, Spec 2
Back in 2008, I wanted to broaden my horizons; this blog was created. Historically, I haven’t posted all that much – things are starting to change. With new posts featuring community artwork and game reviews, the blog is actually starting to take on a life that I had first intended for it. I took a long, hard look at my previous design and concluded that it was utterly unusable and inaccessible. I was long due for a redesign, perhaps I should’ve gotten it right the first time? Yeah, probably.
The new design takes over the entire www.dan.mowchan.com directory, pushing my old and sloppy separate homepage out of the picture. This time, I brought everything together (as it should be) and improved nearly every aspect of the former couplet of pages. The new homepage aggregates data from my Recent Blog Posts, Twitter, Flickr and allows easy access to contact information and other pages. The entire page is easy to view and you can easily get where you want to go on the site.
I have gone for a look that is a lot easier on the eyes this time around. The color scheme is very simple, but that’s my style these days; and I love the blue. There are a lot less loose ends this time around – and those that are still loose, I am tying up by the minute. Overall, the new site is greatly improved, you should find huge changes everywhere. I hope it makes my blog much more usable and enjoyable.
New posts soon, but goodbye for now – enjoy.
