Congratulations, the second major release from MGMT, has become one of my all-time favorite albums. When you listen to the CD as a whole, each track conveys a different emotion through intricate synthesizer melodies, dramatic drum beats and thoughtful lyrics. I’ve been itching to bring these emotions and ideas to the Photoshop canvas.

I was messing with a new photography setup and I ended up with some pretty cool shots of the iPhone. I threw the files into photoshop and decided I’d share my favorite result. Click here to download the wallpaper. The image is 2560px by 1600px.

It has been just about a year since I began my year-long 365 project. It is a good time to bring together a set of my favorite images from the first half of 2010. There are 45 wallpapers; all optimized for the Retina Display. They are all 960×640 pixels in dimension at 326 pixels per inch. Download them here in a zip file, or directly to your device by browsing this directory. Enjoy the wallpapers and pass it on to your friends if you liked them.

This weekend I got the opportunity to see a great new band, Feetlips. With influences including Matt & Kim, Passion Pit and Hot Chip, they are a great blend of genres. I was making an album cover for their demo for my own personal use and the logoface I created turned into a great wallpaper for the band. The Water wallpaper pack is composed of a handful of shots of the ocean. Inside you’ll find 2560×1600 sized widescreen wallpapers and some iPhone format wallpapers as well. You can download the pack here.

In a bit of a departure from the normal wallpapers I release comes the first wallpaper pack of 2010. The Graffiti wallpaper pack is composed of a few shots of different graffiti I have come across in my travels; I have been so focused on my photography project that I haven’t spent so much time in Photoshop. Nevertheless, I have accumulated some great shots that I didn’t use in my 365 project and I am going to release some of the best ones through these small packs for your desktop.
