Siberian Breaks

Not too long ago I released “It’s Working,” marking the opening of a collection of wallpapers inspired by Congratulations. Here is the second piece in the series. This piece of art is based on the final part of “Siberian Breaks.”

Breaking into its final moments, the song shifts pace into a spacey-trance of hypnotic drum beats and psychedelic sounds. The intricate melodies all blend together and sooth the ears. Download the wallpaper here, grab the iPhone version here.

It’s Working

Congratulations, the second major release from MGMT, has become one of my all-time favorite albums. When you listen to the CD as a whole, each track conveys a different emotion through intricate synthesizer melodies, dramatic drum beats and thoughtful lyrics. I’ve been itching to bring these emotions and visualizations to the Photoshop canvas.

Inspired by “It’s Working,” here is the first of a set of wallpapers based on MGMT’s Congratulations. I will be creating wallpapers highlighting the most memorable parts of the album. You can download the wallpaper here.

It has been just about a year since I began my year-long 365 project. It is a good time to bring together a set of my favorite images from the first half of 2010. In a bit of a departure from the normal wallpapers I release comes the first wallpaper pack of 2010. The Graffiti wallpaper pack is composed of a few shots of different graffiti I have come across in my travels; I have been so focused on my photography project that I haven’t spent so much time in Photoshop. Nevertheless, I have accumulated some great shots that I didn’t use in my 365 project and I am going to release some of the best ones through these small packs for your desktop. Not Another Day

Not Another Day is a wallpaper inspired by an Atmosphere song, Not Another Day (how clever of me). I was basically messing around with a few effects and this is what I came up with. I have combined some of my own photography with some other textures and text effects to create the final product. The download includes a widescreen wallpaper and iPhone resolution wallpaper.
